Implementation
Initial consultation enabled us to identify job role requirements, write job descriptions and person specifications. We developed a plan to attract suitable candidates and agreed advertisements.
Steven Reece continues “K2 Horizons scanned all applications, and the use of sharp criteria and telephone interviews, enabled them to quickly shortlist candidates. They planned the selection day, including designing impressive group and individual selection tasks to assess skills needed by RSL and interview questions”. We consulted closely with RSL to design both these activities and interview questions, to ensure that the recruitment process met their business objectives and values throughout.
The interviews and selection activities were carried out by one of the K2’s and RSL management together. This enabled RSL to still have ownership of the recruitment decision, but have the benefit of expertise to guide and support them.
Outcome
We have now successfully carried out several recruitment exercises for Reecer Space Ltd, for both management and administrative staff, with the new staff now happily employed within RSL. An added bonus is that we have coached the management team within RSL throughout the process, enabling them to increase their skills, knowledge and confidence within recruitment.
