Client requirements
Through detailed discussion with Kerry, we identified initial training requirements to prepare for their forthcoming expansion and the changes that lie ahead – this included customer service, communication skills, team working, and disability awareness.
Implementation
We demonstrated flexibility – building all the elements requested into the training and delivering at a time to suit the Farm Park team. The training was delivered as two workshops, spaced a month apart, allowing for implementation of action identified from the first session and then review at the second session. The training was highly interactive, with both group and individual activities, providing maximum opportunity for participants to be involved in their own learning and ensure implementation in the workplace. The training was focussed but fun!
Outcome
Staff feedback has been extremely positive and the new skills and knowledge are being implemented for the long term benefits of the Farm Park – action taken following the first workshop immediately resulted in improved communication throughout the business. Staff also felt that the training ”…was a great help to the whole organisation in becoming a closer team!”
Client Information
Dick Whittington Farm Park has 100 acres of woodland and pasture with farm animals, an indoor playbarn, restaurant and shop. The Farm Park is undergoing expansion, resulting in forthcoming operational and organisational change within the business.
