Cardiff & Vale Coalition of Disabled People
Client comment
Adele Goodwin Training and Consultancy Manager of C&VCDP “K2 Horizons directed us through what seemed a maze of awarding bodies, gave careful consideration to what we were looking for and provided us with a first class service. We very much look forward to working with them in the future. Our plans include using K2 to deliver Train the Trainer training for us and also assist us by independently monitoring the quality of our training provision.”
Client requirements
Adele explains “As part of our plans to continually move our organisation forward, we wanted to explore the possibility of gaining national accreditation for some of our training courses and asked K2 Horizons to help us with this.”
Implementation
Meetings with Adele and Charles Willie, Chief Executive of C&VCDP enabled us to get a feel for the organisation, how accreditation might work for them and be responsive to their requirements. We then carried out research around the options available for the organisation.
Outcome
K2 Horizons pulled all the information together and then we presented our findings to our client, which included:
- the existing qualifications available in the sector and how they compared /matched with courses in C&VCDP’s portfolio
- identifying which of these could be suitable to link with C&VCDP’s existing programme to give participants accreditation and the requirements to enable them to do so
- the accreditation process offered by a number of Awarding Bodies, what they involved and their suitability for C&VCDP.
The organisation was then in a position to make informed decisions re their future objectives and plan accordingly.
