Who is this for?
This qualification is aimed at anyone in employment who wants to advance their understanding of equality and diversity and apply this in a vocational context. It is particularly suited to anyone in their first position of responsibility, such as first time management or supervision of staff, as well as anyone responsible for promoting diversity or formulating equality and diversity policies in their workplace.

Aims
To increase understanding of:
- Equality and diversity concepts
- Awareness of how these issues impact upon organisational processes, management and delivery
- Individual and organisational diversity experiences, skills and practices
Content
The qualification consists of 3 units:
- Raising diversity awareness
- Managing organisational diversity
- Equal opportunities and diversity legislation
Delivery and Assessment
The workbook provides a combination of reference information, questions and practical activities that enable candidates to meet assessment requirements for this qualification. Candidates complete the qualification in their place of work with access to an assessor who will support them throughout the programme.
