About K2 Horizons

K2 Horizons was “born” in a car park in the beautiful Forest of Dean in 2006.

During a conversation about the weather and the views and the meeting that we had just attended – we started to talk about what it was like being self employed, and how much better life could be with a business partner.

We then discovered that we shared the same attitudes to life and work. And there you had it – K2 Horizons came into being, and as Kay so often says at presentations – two people became one company – with complimentary skills and personalities.

What we do share are our attitudes to life, which we then adopted for the partnership:

  • Flexible – services tailored to you
  • Focussed – targeted to your needs
  • Professional but informal – although we can be formal if needed
  • People people – but we are also great at systems and paperwork
  • Hands on and practical – we “roll up” our sleeves and get stuck in
  • Fun – people perform better when they are having fun and enjoying themselves
  • Passionate – about everything we do

K2 Horizons LLP (Limited Liabilities Partnership) was registered at Companies House, we got the website up and running and were away delivering training and development courses and qualifications. We thought that was it!

But then our clients began to ask us if we could offer other services like recruitment and selection of staff; helping out with the office move; sorting out the filing system and sending out mail shots etc. It wasn’t long before we were asked us to help out ‘at home’ by organnising a special event and then someone asked if we could wait in at their house for a delivery and could we show their mum how to send an email!

Before we knew it we had “grown our offer” and now have Training & Development, Business Support & PA Services and Lifestyle Management & Concierge Services. Our lives to date have enabled us to develop and hone the skills we need for all three areas of K2 Horizons’ work!

Lifestyle Management & Concierge Services

Kay and Kathryn have both had experience of juggling busy work and home lives and have used skills developed during their varied job roles to help them – from project management and organisational skills to communication and IT skills.

Business Support & PA Services

Within K2 Horizons we’ve had first hand experience of working for SME’s and large organisations, commerce and industry, private and public sector organisations. We’ve learnt by doing, learnt from others and from being thrown in at the deep end and having to swim! Between us, we’ve had a fair range of experiences to learn from!
